Damien was approached by a member of the Redesdale and District Association to help commemorate the 10 year Anniversary of the Black Saturday Fires that swept through the region. Damien consulted closely with members of the community to help portray not only the devastation of such an event, but the strength and sense of togetherness of the community and how they rebuilt their lives. After a lovely welcome to country smoking ceremony from an indigenous elder, Damien helped unveil the work along with some local MP's and some representatives from RaDA. The work is painted

on the CFA water tank which was used as a staging ground during the fires, a place close to all of the Redesdale

residents' hearts.
